Flight Operations Manager
Salary c£22K
Established over 30 years ago, this client specialises in
providing high quality conferences, incentive travel programmes and
event management services to a broad customer base, including high
profile Pharmaceutical, Financial, Legal and I.T. clients.
This
is a rare opportunity to join this global Company in their new modern
offices based on the outskirts of Slough. It is a permanent full time
position, within Air Travel World, our In-house Travel Division,
supporting our Event Operations Teams in delivering exceptional events.
Reporting to the Travel Manager, the main scope of the Flight Operations
Manager’s role is to manage from initial brief to final reconciliation,
travel research and solutions, reservations, document production and
financial transactions, for various types of client events worldwide.
Main
Responsibilities include:

Researching and providing clear and concise travel solutions for
various client enquiries

Liaison with Internal Operations Teams
-
Liaison with all travel suppliers
-
Making group bookings and negotiating group fares
-
Managing group bookings and supplier deadlines
-
Making non-group bookings and fare quoting using Galileo CRS
-
Actioning website bookings with various travel suppliers
-
Travel document production for both published and nett fare ticket
types
-
Utilisation of TravelPower back office system
-
Managing event travel accounting
-
Performing within IATA & ATOL regulations
Attributes & Skills:
-
Fully conversant with Galileo CRS in all areas of reservations,
fares & ticketing

Previous use of a travel-related back office system (Travelpower is
used)

Solid geographical knowledge – both UK & Worldwide

Knowledge of key travel suppliers and products
-
Significant Business Travel or C&I /Groups industry experience

Industry recognised fares & ticketing certificates (BA level 2 or
equivalent)

Strong organisational skills

A

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Computer literacy

Salary/Benefits:

Basic Salary circa £22-23K pa

Bonus scheme (based on individual performance & company profit)*
