Job role summary and
objectives
To introduce and
account manage new large events business into Conference Care, cross
selling all areas of the product offering, including Event Management
services, Production and Audio Visual. Build and maintain close
relationships with key event clients, to increase major event revenue
streams into Conference Care.
A targeted and
experienced approach to sales is required with a strategy to drive sales
through large and major events, of over £80,000 per event spend.
Applicants must have an
excellent working knowledge of the major events world, across all market
sectors - in particular Association, Not for Profit, Institute, Society
and Government bodies.
To have an involvement
at all stages of the event process, possibly including site visits,
planning meetings, tastings and creative meetings.
Attendance at client
events will be a necessary part of the relationship management, as will
attendance of industry networking events, to gain industry contacts,
increase market awareness and gain new clients.
Initially a large
proportion of the role will be to undertake research, establishing the
correct contact details of business influencers, decision makers and
procurement channels. Followed by the initial introduction of the
product range with the aim to gain face to face appointments, that will
result in securing large and major event enquiries through to
confirmation.
An effective
communicator, working with your colleagues within Conference Care to
gain leads and secure large/major events enquiries.
To assist in the
development of Conference Care’s Event Management full product offering,
focus on sales, build strong client relations to instigate repeat
bookings and secure long term contracts.
To be a strong
negotiator, delivering a real added value to clients, with rate
negotiation and terms of venue contract negotiation – in all instances
buying in the favour of the client.
