Russian Speaking Events Manager
£22-23k p.a.
We need a full time permanent Event
Manager to join our busy team.
-
The hours are 9:00 to 18.00 Monday to
Friday. The position involves extensive travel
Duties and functions
Source, within the given location, category and budget, suitable
venues and services providers for the Company’s promotional,
training and other events as required. Assessment and evaluation of
technical, qualitative, aesthetical and commercial suitability of
venues and services

Negotiate, within the given budget and
authority, commercial and technical terms and conditions of
provision thereof.

Coordinate, before and during the
event, all destination and event management activities related to
the Company’s events (accommodation, transport and logistics,
subsistence, signage, PA and interpretation systems, freight and
storage)

Arrange for transport from the
Company’s offices and deploy at the event site IT and other
facilities as required.

Provide all necessary assistance to
the Company’s customers, guests, delegates, etc. at events in
accordance with the Company’s commercial, social and ethical
obligations (coordinate and manage and personally perform meet and
greet functions, assist the customers with special meal and health
requirements, etc.)

Supporting the Production Director
providing meeting facilities for the event

Assist the Production Director in
generating and coordinating social programmes for events

Provide cost summaries before and
during the event and cost reports thereafter

In absence of dedicated members of
staff or contractors carry out interpretation and translation
functions
Requirements/Skills
• Must work effectively under own initiative
• Must have higher education, preferably in humanities
• Must be proficient in at least two CIS languages (both to mother
tongue level), have a good command of English and French
• Fluent Russian language
• Must have a suitable psychological profile and an outgoing personality
for direct client liaison, good communication skills
• Good knowledge of a reservation system (hotels, flights)
• Must have high degree of computer literacy and able to competently use
a word processing package, a spreadsheet and a a database package
• Must have previous experience in event management
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills required
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with
both colleagues and external clients/customers, associates, principals
and service providers
• Team player willing to be flexible and responsive to the
business/department needs
• Proactive individual who contributes to the smooth running and
efficiency of the office
Remuneration
£22- 23,000 per annum
